PROUDLY SERVING THE TEMECULA VALLEY FOR 30 YEARS
Andrew Bell has been a "go-to" guy since his days growing up in on base at the United States Military Academy in West Point, New York. On the ice playing hockey, on the slopes skiing and on the stage playing guitar, Bell has a penchant for getting into the action.
In April, he was chosen from a panel of excellent candidates to join the Rancon Group Builder Developer Division where he will be in the action in the fast-paced arena of land acquisition, development and sales.
"Andrew is a dynamic personality with the skills and energy to have a major impact on our team," says Kathie Westrope, Associate Vice President of the Rancon Group. "He's a perfect fit for our group and the merchant builder community. His attention to detail and commitment to following up are exceptional and will make him an asset to the Builder Developer Team and our partners."
The Builder Developer Division was formed in 2003 to interact with the merchant homebuilder community and facilitate the deposition of the Rancon Group's various land holdings. Today this team of highly skilled professionals oversees an array of property-related functions including regional infrastructure participation, land acquisition, project management and entitlement. In addition, they maintain close personal relationships within the merchant builder community.
"I look forward to being a part of this dynamic team of individuals," says Bell. "One of my immediate goals will be to provide the merchant builder community with a liaison between Rancon's incomparable portfolio of buildable land and their own needs for growth and expansion."
Bell comes from a strong background in public relations and communications. His father served as the Public Affairs Officer at the US Embassy in Iran in the 1970s before and during the revolt there and later served as the Public Affairs Director for the U.S. Military Academy at West Point.
"I grew up watching my dad interact with all kinds of people from presidents and dignitaries to sports stars and celebrites," says Bell. "It was inspirational, as well as enlightening because you realize that the common tie that binds us all is communication. The key to any successful relationship is communication, understanding and teamwork."
Following graduation from Millersville University in Lancaster, PA, with a degree in public relations and speech communications, Bell went to work as Public Relations Director for The Homestead, America's First Resort in Hot Springs, VA where he served as the organizational spokesperson, and hosted numerous media events, including a visit from then President Bill Clinton.
He has worked as a national recruiter for a major university and as a national sales manager for Hilton Resorts in San Diego. It was on a junket for Liberty University when Bell met his wife Casey. Together, they have a one year old boy, Hudson.
In 2005, Bell joined the Nancy Hughes Group of Rancon Real Estate as partner. In the first year, he helped increase the Hughes Group residential and land sales by 133 percent. In 2007, Bell was responsible for the largest land sale in the Temecula Wine Country.
"Working at Rancon and now being a part of the Builder Developer Division, I believe, is the perfect pairing of my skill set with the greater need of our community at large," says Bell. "There's nowhere else I'd rather be."
Nancy's Bio:
Nancy Hughes has been a dominant and steadfast presence in the real estate industry since 1983. For the past 25 years, she has served Rancon Real Estate faithfully in both land sales and residential resales. Hughes began her career with Rancon just as Interstate 15 was being completed, in an area then known as Rancho California. She was drawn to the region for its abundance of natural beauty and an extensive master plan, which vowed to preserve the vineyards and larger parcels for years to come. Since then, she has consistenly ranked among the top 1% of agents in our region, amassing numerous awards and President's Club designations along they way, as well as being an integral component in helping our Temecula Valley prosper and grow into the thriving community it is today.
"It truly has been a privilege to work this long for a company I believe so strongly in," says Hughes. "From a community-minded and philanthropic standpoint, I can't think of a finer example of excellence than Rancon. Together, we have made amazing strides in protecting and maintaining the integrity of our industry, and I am proud to be a member of this team."
In addition to her real estate career, Hughes has been involved with many different community service organizations throughout the years. She was elected to the Rancho California Water District Board of Directors in 1991, serving as President and Vice President, where she headed up various committees until 1994. She has been a co-leader for the Cub Scouts, coached various youth sports teams, donates time to People Helping People, Habitat for Humanity, Juvenile Diabetes Foundation, Race for the Cure and was responsible for Camp Pendleton's "Adopt a Marine" program, which placed hundreds of Marines in countless Temecula and Murrieta homes for a 'home-away-from-home' experience on Thanksgiving Day. For the past several years, Hughes has been volunteering as a member of the Board of Governors for Opportunity International, a group dedicated to helping the impoverished transform their lives through job creation, and small business stimulation.
While not showing or listing homes and land, Nancy enjoys spending time with her husband, Gregg, and their 17 year old son, Evan.
